About Karnak

Karnak is the Shrine Centre for Quebec and Eastern Ontario. It comprises a number of “Karnak Shrine Clubs” formed by Shriners in localities generally at some distance from the Shrine Centre, and special purpose “Karnak Units” operating from the Shrine Centre in Dollard-des-Ormeaux, QC.

The only “Shriners Hospital for Children” in Canada is within Karnak Shrine Centre’s territory.  https://www.shrinershospitalsforchildren.org/montreal

Karnak’s mission is to raise funds in support of the “Shriners Hospital for Children”. Karnak makes it possible for Shriners and non-Shriners to be part of the Hospital’s highly specialized mandate.

Karnak Shriners like the Hospital are fully dedicated to giving children the best chance at normal, independent and productive lives.

An important ancillary mission to Karnak Shriners’ fund raising activities for the “Shriners Hospital for Children” is to encourage volunteers to “party” a bit and have a good time with family and friends. It makes fund-raising fun and achieves greater success. And Shrine volunteers develop strong ties and lifetime friendships through years of working together on projects.
